Manly coach Trent Barrett has paid credit to club legend Bob Fulton who he says has helped him since taking the reins at the club last year.

Fulton has advised Barrett over the past two seasons and the latter took time on NRL 360 to explain what he’s learned from the experienced head.

“Probably a lot of things. His experience is invaluable, there’s nothing in the game he hasn’t achieved,” Barrett said.

“The one thing about Bozo is he’s a winner, and whatever he’s doing or says to me comes from a good place because he wants to win.

“I think he’s maybe give me a bit more of a hard edge, as in when there’s a decision to be made just make it.

“I think he’s toughened me up a bit, because it is a tough gig. You can’t dance around decisions, you can’t sugar coat it, and he certainly doesn’t.”

Also made it clear they argued on occasion and concerning recruitment spoke with some amusement about Bozo's love for big players, 'He loves front rowers'. Also said Bozo tends to prefer attacking players. Would love to be a fly on the wall when they are having a barney about which player to sign/release.
