And I have to admit I love how he takes aim at Greenturd, calling him a politician and claiming the only time he'll talk to the media is when he has something to spin.

SOMETIMES you wonder if the NRL is a serious equal opportunity employer. And is the Women In League round just a token recognition for females across the game?

Read on and you’ll get what I’m talking about.

On Sunday night the New Zealand Warriors played the Wests Tigers in a game that had no bearing on the finals.

The low-pressure match was a perfect opportunity for the NRL to give a rookie referee an initiation to first grade and the same sort of game used every year to trial a new rule or promote a new whistleblower away from the spotlight.

There are two outstanding female referees who have been banging on the door for promotion to the senior ranks all year Belinda Sleeman and Kasey Badger.

They have had great seasons as Holden Cup referees and NRL touch judges.

Yet referees boss Tony Archer refuses to pick them.

It's not so long ago Rothfield was talking up Turdburger as the saviour of the game.
How quickly things change.
Hope he keeps unloading on him.

I do agree with him that a game like the Tigpies vs Warriors would have been a good place to give at least one of the ladies a go as a pocket ref. It had no bearing on the ladder or who would and wouldn't make the finals and it was only on Fox so the television audience was potentially limited in numbers compared to if it was on Nein.

As for Greenturd? I think the media (or some sections of it) are starting to finally realise that this slimey PoS is not the person who should be in charge of the NRL. Ironic considering they played a big part in him getting the job in the first place.....

Its a sad state of affairs when we actually seem to long for the days of Gallop being in charge (I prefer to long for Arko as boss, but I digress). Despite what he did to Snake, hanging an innocent man out to dry, he did a lot better job than Greenturd ever has or ever will.

If they're good enough, give them a go, but don't give them a go just for the sake of political correctness

That I also agree with @Peter C . If they have earned the right, as apparently both women have, then give them a go. But don't do it for the sake of being able to say "we've got a female referee"

Female ref's; there's a conundrum. As soon as you are critical of one you would immediately be sexist.
