News: Why some players just don't get it

  • We had an issue with background services between march 10th and 15th or there about. This meant the payment services were not linking to automatic upgrades. If you paid for premium membership and are still seeing ads please let me know and the email you used against PayPal and I cam manually verify and upgrade your account.

THE most disturbing thing about the litany of alcohol-related incidents involving league players is that they have all heard the message the NRL has sent out about the dangers - it's just that for some players it simply never sinks in.<div class="articleBody" /><p>The Brett Stewart interview screened on <em>The Footy Show</em> last Thursday showed the Manly fullback - as the face of the game's advertising campaign this season - talking about the responsibility players have to promote the game and the need for them to be aware their behaviour is under constant scrutiny. The interview was recorded on the day of Manly's ill-fated season launch. If only he had listened to himself.</p><p>Now it's Brett Seymour from Cronulla and Jake Friend from the Sydney Roosters in trouble.</p>
