Taufua battles on as Sea Eagles get set for South Sydney clash

A CHRONIC shortage of available outside backs has seen a courageous team spirit emerge at the Sea Eagles, spearheaded by blockbusting winger Jorge Taufua.

Taufua cancelled plans for a shoulder operation to answer an SOS call from coach Trent Barrett to play against the Warriors in Perth last weekend and he will continue to play injured against Souths on Monday night.

Injured. He certainly didn't show it. Was probably his best game all year. If that's how he plays straight hard runs when his mind is thinking about his busted shoulder. Can we give him an injection to numb his hands. There might just be hope we can get him to catch yet.
