The Leagues Club board is fairly culpable in this as the rot obviously set in a long time ago. On the positive side, we are not in such a deep hole as that reported for Parramatta.

What is essential is that licensed clubs are redesigned so that there are revenue sources that are based on more than pokies and also that they are customer friendly. Non-smoking laws are here to stay so venues need ambience, attractions, atmosphere and good service etc so that people use the place all year around. Renovation and restyling could be a useful thing if the right people are involved.
