Parramatta signed a 4 year deal with the Northern Territory government to take one Premiership game a year to Darwin. I hope it's a Manly game at least once.

No way they'll take Manly up there.

      Titans, Cowboys etc.

Maybe Parra shouldn't be allowed to call them 'premiership' games.

Not sure the Darwinians would be happy watching a bye each year.

How are they getting there: the Hayne Plane or the slow train?

        The NRL Darwin Eels.

I likes the sound of that!

That's a bit harsh to Darwin, mate.

        ^ True.

Plus they wouldn't be the nrl eels, they'd be the drl eels.

        Darwin rugby league comp.

There's no relegation so the eels should be sweet.

With their injury toll, would they be the Crocs?

They'd still win the wooden spoon though.

Is it wise to have our feeder club so far away ?

Lol! The eels boss interviewed by weedler on Ch9 news predicts Eels to go top 8 in 2014 and win the grand final 2015.

They will need more than Hoppa jr to realise that dream.

The Roosters refer to their NT game against the Bovine people as the "Darwin debacle".
It was April & still humid. The Roosters were huffing & puffing like the big bad wolf, & got whooped 50-12.
Mid June or July would've been a better time for Sydney clubs to lob up.
Manly were last up here in '98, I think.

If Parra came to Darwin the Termites would eat their wooden spoon in no time.
Poor buggers wouldn't even have that.

Love Darwin, have done the drive 5 times already and would love to go a 6th time to see the mighty Sea Eagles play. The game will be well supported by the locals.

I live in outer Darwin, I think there's some other Silvertails up here too.
Being starved of NRL I go to any games, Titans, Cowboys, Parra, whatever.
BTW, Termites ate my wheelbarrow tyre,
            they're bad up here.

We were scrapping the bottom of the ladder and had an underperforming squad a decade ago and Des/Crusher saw it as a five year plan. You can credit that long burn to success for building foundations that prevented us peaking then collapsing for a 'rebuild' in subsequent years (re: Dogs, Dragons, Roosters and Eels).

So how in the world does the Eels boss make a two year claim and not expect opening up the club to criticism by impatient and frustrated fans, therefore putting more pressure on the Parra board and staff?!?!?!
            [hr]
            Correct
