Hi All,

During Movember (the month formerly known as November) I'll be growin a Mo. That's right I'm bringing the Mo back because I'm passionate about changing men's health and the fight against male depression and prostate cancer. Why...

* Depression affects 1 in 6 men...Most don't seek help. Untreated depression is a leading risk factor for suicide.
* Last year in Australia 18,700 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 2,900 died of prostate cancer - equivalent to the number of women who die from breast cancer annually.
* Men are far less healthy than women. The average life expectancy of males is 5 years less than females.

To sponsor my Mo please go to http://www.movember.com/au/donate enter my registration number which is 96285 and your credit card details. Or you can sponsor me by cheque made payable to the "Movember Foundation" clearly marking the donation as being for my Registration Number: 96285. Please mail cheques to: PO Box 292, Prahran VIC 3181. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

The money raised by Movember is donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue - the national depression initiative, which will use the funds to create awareness, fund research and increase support networks for those men who suffer from prostate cancer and male depression.

For those that have supported Movember in previous years you can be very proud of the impact it has had and can check out the detail at: Fundraising Outcomes.

Movember culminates at the end of the month at the Gala Partés. These glamorous and groomed events will see Tom Selleck and Borat look-a-likes battle it out for their chance to take home the prestigious Man of Movember title. If you would like to be part of this great night you'll need to purchase a Gala Parté ticket .

Thanks for your support

Daniel

Its a pitty the copyright holders of 'Movember' take 15% of all takings for the use of the name.

So much for charity.

This link should work http://www.movember.com/au/donate

Sorry it had a comma.

Yeah the copyright holders aren't the charity people though. Either way its still good fun and any amount that goes to charity is better than none

how much is a tuft of bum fluff worth exactly?

A disagreeable malcontent aren't you. The wrong side of bed must be pretty worn out in your room

Link in the main post has also been fixed, it was pulling in the comma at the end

I wonder if there are any female Manly supporters out there who want to help raise money for the club?

Pubic hair sale aims to raise a million
October 30, 2007

A MYSTERY woman is claiming to be selling advertising space on a picture of her crotch as well as her pubic hair for $US200 ($217) a pop.

While the Milliondollarpubes.com(www.milliondollarpubes.com ) website has attracted just over 246,600 visitors since it was launched last month, it claims that 190 pubic hairs have been sold.

That amounts to $US38,000 ($41,344) being paid to the woman for pubic hair and advertising spaces measuring 10 x 10 pixels.

According to the website, the woman claims to need $US1m (1.09m) she hopes to receive so she can afford to have laser hair removal treatment for her bikini area.

But the prices for laser hair removal in Australia range from $100 to $700 per session, and some experts recommend just five sessions.

The mystery woman has also set up a blog to help answer any questions – including if she’s really a man and if the site was a complete fraud.

“I can 100% guarantee that I am female and live in the UK,” the woman said in her blog.

“I know a few of you have been sceptical, but I can assure you that this is definitely a genuine project, and anyone placing an order has the option to receive one of my pubic hair's in the post as well as their advertisement.

“Thanks to everyone for their support, all I need to do now is start selling more pubes!”

Thank you tookey. I will be posting progress reports on http://www.blokeman.com
