It was pleasing to see DCE trying a few surprise attacking otions. The short kick-off regather was gold, and really paid off. His chip kick almost came off. Bravo for have the courage to try these ploys. RL these days is too predictable, particularly from scrums. There is so little imagination.

A kick and chase from the scrum is the easiest way to score. The fullback packs into the scrum (why, I have no idea) and the defensive line is usually a backrower. Any reasonable kick over the defensive backline towards our wingers should reap rewards.

I'm glad opposition teams don't use it against us.
