This might seem pretty far-fetched but it strikes me as really strange that the Directors of the Melbourne Storm are taking the NRL to court in a challenge of the fairness of the process through which they had their premierships and points taken away from them.
At the time of the penalty, News Limited accepted the decision publicly. However they are allowing the rogue directors an opportunity to appeal. Surely they could draw rank and tell these directors to terminate the case or even sack them, should they refuse.
The joke is that it is a News Limited owned team taking court action against a half News Limited owned sporting competition.
Is this all some sort of charade with News saying one thing to maintain public opinion and acting privately to support the directors in their appeal, in the hope of getting the premierships back?
Are we going to have some random ruling and then News Publicly reinstating the Premierships as they are told by thte court that the action did not follow due process. Is this some sort of conspiracy???
