Yep! ... that Chinese keeper was built like "leaping stick insect" and she saw it coming from 30m out and got nowhere near it.

If a regional u16 boys team can beat the Matildas 6-0 they deserve a pay upgrade too don't they..

And, where was all this support for the girls when they were not as good as they are now?

Happy days .... tonight the glorious Matildas kick-off their world cup against the fall down Italians ....... rip in you good things .... an Australian team we can all be proud of ... and no sandpaper in sight ......

Italy score deep deep deep into extra time giving them an upset 2-1 win.

I think Aust also play Brazil and Jamaica in their group.

Hopefully this isn't one of those "dominate every game leading up to a world cup then bomb in it".

An amazing comeback against Brazil beating them 3-2, and

Beating Jamaica 4-1 has guaranteed Australia move on to the next round, finishing second in their group.
