Match review committee

I may be a little biased with my bro running the MRC but I have to say this year seems to have a lot less inconsistencies and a lot less controversy. There has been little talk about the grading being wrong and the MRC are much like the refs, if you don't notice them, it means they are doing a good job.
Their grading criteria was simplified this year with each offence only being able to be compared with 1 similar offence within the last 12 months so this definitely helps.

Let's put him in charge of the bunker next and see if he can sort that out 😉

Haven't noticed any difference. Some good pick-ups, some perplexing. Tapau anyone? Do you watch EVERY game?
Not only do I watch every game but I also watch all the footy shows. There was way more controversy last year, it was almost weekly.
Give me an example of a perplexing grading. How many players have even bothered to fight their grading? And how many that did fight it were successful in down grading? Last year people were fighting at the judiciary weekly.
I'm interested in hearing about these perplexing decisions

I wonder if Annersley rings the MRC, asks them what they are going to do about "this incident" and if the mrc says "nutting, t'was a stupid ref decision" then Annersley also disagrees with the ref decision on his monday apology-thon.

that way he sides with the mrc....and like totally looks kewl.

or something

w/e

ps: If you have time to watch all the games and the tv shows, you obviously are living off the bribes "someone" is getting from uncle "someone" regarding a certain "review committee"

pps: Just kidding!

ppps: edit! I'm yet to see an incident like when sam the cat burgess lines up dce who doesn't have the ball, nails him with a shoulder and all the nrl do is send the cat a warning letter.... so things have improved...probably

My definition of success is how many Manly players got sighted/let off compared to previous years?

Actually apart from AFB (twice) I think we have faired pretty well

I was referring to players not cited at all than the grading levels buddy.

It appears whoever is running/ in charge of any portion of the game pretty much marches to the HQ's tune. Maybe it's just me.

I’d generally agree, but some really strange gradings still, the asofa Solomona one comes to mind, also a lot of things not sited which should’ve been

I also despise tripping In a game, should be much more than a fine.

But yeah, generally better

I think it has been improved so far this year.

The refs got Marty's swinging clothesline wrong, Hentherington the grub should have been sent. If he had been sent I would have been okay with 4-5 weeks, with a sin bin I reckon it should have been 8 -10 as that was as intentional and dangerous as it gets. A swinging arm is on par with a solo spearing for mine.

I would also like to see the MRC given the power to suspend players for milking and staging next year.

Can you please ask him the difference between Nelson AS' shoulder charge and Chad Townsend's (apart from target)? Genuine question.
Solomona wasn't even charged with a shoulder charge so completely different tackles. He was charged with a high tackle because his arm was "Not tucked" for a shoulder charge. You can't be charged for a shoulder charge if your arm "attempts to wrap" even if you hit them in the head with your shoulder

Isn't it better to have players not charged for minor offences? We all wanna see the best players play each week and no fan wants to see one of their players missing games for something minor. The serious offences are getting charged, thats the main thing.

Well it only takes someone with even an ounce of intelligence to figure out that if they weren't even "cited" that the offence must have been "minor".... Buddy 😉
Yeah, maybe someone with even an ounce like you. Unlike you I am not stupid enough to think that ALL non-minor offences are cited...and that's what I said in my post if you were not so busy arguing .

Please no more...
