"Today at Rugby League Central we will announce the Draw for the 2015 Auckland #NRL9s. Join us from 10am for all the details."

Surely in a week leading into back to back Sydney finals this is not the time to be focusing on a warm up run around for next year?

On the flip side, if they want the 9s to capture the attention of the public, wouldn't they have more chance after the GF?

All they are doing is wasting a day when they could be promoting the finals while ensuring that the 9s launch will be missed by almost everyone.

Why are they promoting this mickey mouse event now? I got a letter yesterday in the post urging me to go to this not miss event.

they are trying to pre-sell tickets while interest in the game is at its highest.

no point trying to sell them when the season is over.
