The men 'scale' Mt Kosciuszko

And Capt awesome ready for rivals in 2015:

Fun fact(s) about Mt Kosciuszko:

1) It was named by the Polish explorer Paul Edmund Strzelecki in 1840, in honour of the Polish national hero and hero of the American Revolutionary War General Tadeusz Kościuszko, because of its perceived resemblance to the Kościuszko Mound in Kraków.

2)Various measurements of the peak originally called Kosciuszko showed it to be slightly lower than its neighbour, Mount Townsend. The names of the mountains were swapped by the New South Wales Lands Department, so that Mount Kosciuszko remains the name of the highest peak of Australia. (lol)

There's a Strzlecki track in N/E South Australia mostly dirt. Strzlecki ranges & desert too.
Old mate must've toured out there as well.

I was at Drummond golf today and Jamie Lyon was there buying clubs. I overheard a conversation he was having with an ex player. He said Kosciuszsko was tortuous and one guy player came down with hypothermia. He said to whom he was speaking, that he would not have made it. It sounds like Donny is really putting them through the wringer.
Anyway, I'm not telling Jamie's kids what Santa is delivering for Christmas.

The sales guy said he was the nicest person he's ever served except for me (I then left with a $2600 bill - Christmas present for self)

The story in today's Telecrap expands upon the trek, which seems to have been a flawed endeavour, putting players and official in danger.
Perhaps there are better ways to gain team bonding?

Agree.
On a World scale Australia's mountains are bugger all. Sure they're cold, but not Telegraph cold.
A mate of mine went on the 1988 army expedition to Everest. They did'nt take bottled oxygen and he lost two fingers. Did'nt rate a mention in the Telecrap. Lucky he did'nt attempt Kosciuszko.
