I would say it's a compliment.

Brian Smith was full of praise for our team. He certainly was squirming... no... I would say that he was seething regarding his team's loss.

Only Brian Smith could come up with a comment like that, yet it certainly summed up the way his Roosters had been cannon-balled out of their match against a depleted Manly at the SFS yesterday.

He'd told them. He'd told them all week to expect a mugging.

And when it came as forewarned, Manly did the bending. In the end, it was last year's grand finalists who eventually snapped in two.

He is actually very complimentary about our performance. Bending the rules comment is taken out of context.
