Manly halves defence

A lot people critical of Blake Greens defence but overall out of all the NRLs he is the equal 3rd best with a couple of halves including Daly with both of them having a tackle efficiency percentage of 87% shows that really he isn't struggling at all in fact he is a great defender.

I'm assuming that's a ratio of tackles to total tackles attempted. Green's weakness in defense is he susceptible to watching the runner rather than the ball and making the wrong call on who to tackle. Not having a go at him but it is a weakness I've seen in him. DCE on the other hand rarely makes a wrong read in defense and also has the technique to make an effective tackle. I find most great playmakers also make good defensive reads, but not all have the technique to make the required tackle. Thurston will usually make the right defensive read, but can drop off simple tackles.
