The Manly Sea Eagles have been ordered to pay Steve Georgallis almost $45,000 for breaching their employment contract when sacking the former assistant coach.

Georgallis joined the Sea Eagles in 2014 as a deputy to then head coach Geoff Toovey on a three-year deal worth about $135,000 per annum. However, the club informed Georgallis in July of 2015 that he would be terminated with three months pay from the following month. The former Roosters, Magpies and Tigers player was paid about $40,000 on September 8 after being told he had completed his final shift the day before.

Shouldn't we all be concerned when Georgallis's counsel indicates that the contract was poorly framed? Rather than cause for lighthearted forum banter?

How many other poorly constructed legal arrangements have these people made? Looks to be more than one, based on the evidence.

Perhaps the Penn Faemmle need new solicitors, as a priority.
