It may be hard to believe but consider this,
If Manly went out and put on a quick 20 points then ambled their way to a 36 to 12 victory, all reports would have said the Dogs did well , showed some structure, showed spirit and fight, blahblahblah.
Their coaching staff would have got a pat on the back for such a result but in harsh reality, they have clearly been shown where they are at and what they have to aspire to unlike their previous matches against Penrith, Parramatta and Canberra where they hung in there, pushed them etc.

The Dogs have been playing consistent footy under Trent all year and have been rewarded with
16th spot and are dead last with a bullet to remain down and out on the NRL ladder

In the Beginning of the year with a full strength team and his new signings including his up and coming gun halfback The Bulldogs made history for the wrongs reasons by becoming the only Dogs team not to score a point in three consecutive NRL games .
The Master attacking Assistant coach as Trent is known currently has his team last on 172 points The least points scored by any team in the NRL by a record margin .


No excuses for Trent as the Bulldogs club has provided him with the best furniture in the NRL

The incompetent coach Trent had the best resources a coach can have at Manly top 8 players like Tom Turbo , Fainu , DCE , Jake , AFB, Walker , Thompson , Marty , Api Koroisau etc and he quit because he complained about the furniture and other things he did not get that he was promised to get

He now has all the furniture and all that he was promised at the Dogs and this is what he has come up with on the NRL Ladder

Said this before, but there's no way any club would hire T. Baz as a coach based on his record, which is truly abysmal. The only possible reason to give him the keys would be the belief that he'd be able to bring players with him. And that has happened. He's taken a few good ones from the Panthers (Burton being the one with the most promise) and the Fox is on his way next year. I'm guessing the determining factor in all those player signings was a large wad of cash rather than Trent's come-hither smile, but it does give their fans something to pin their hopes on.
