No, today was the test.
Today proved we have a competitive team on the rise. That is what I really have been waiting to believe, now I believe, hallelujah!

Yeah true this was a test but we have a bigger test next week. Just great to see Manly is back and better.

The signs aren't good. We are going up against one of the biggest, if not the biggest pack in the comp with a bench with the likes of Kasiano coming on to tear up the middle. In response to that our coach has selected two lightweight bench players, just as he did in round 1, 2016 when the dishlickers came to Brookie and shredded us up the middle.

Optimism vanished for me as soon as I saw our bench. TB seems to make his selections without any thought to the oppositions strengths.

Well you got the "shredded" analogy bit right. I guess you probably meant the Bulldogs defence (torn in shreds by our attack) rather than their attack perhaps?

On the other hand you will probably be proven right about the bench at some time this season, if TB persists with Brown/Hastings. That "lightweight bench" combination should only last as long as Lussick is out.
