Line drop out

I heard on the radio that some kid playing for Cronullas Toyota cup team drop kicked a ball 105 metres over the dead ball line giving his team the scrum feed. The ball also went 65 m on the fly.

Not bad I guess.

there was a gale blowing

but we all get your all too obvious point

which reminds of the post a few months ago about the correlation between height and distance on kicks. Soward and that Dureau guy are both short and manage to roost the ball a fair way.

It didnt go dead, I'm pretty sure the opposition fullback managed to pick it up just inside the in goal and ran it back out to his 10 or 20 metre line.

Correct - they showed it during the main game.  It was wind assisted.

But still, if a kid can do it .........
