I don't think he can play back row as he is a pretty poor passer. I've seen him make a few breaks over the years and throws hail Marys in panic. He could however play a bit wider almost like a Watmough role.

Lawrence was on the scrap heap a year ago, I even wanted him gone. But he grabbed my attention @ the Auckland 9's, looked very dynamic, powerful & aggressive. I think he maintained that level in 16', it's a damn shame he got injured. He went from being weak & tentative, stopping well short of the line, to putting the defence on the back foot, by actually bending the darn thing. I take my hat off to him!
