as for great cricketer, nope, couldnt captain to save his life and was a very selfish player.

as for his batting he is in the top flight.

I was going to say the same thing Fro.
Great batsman but I think on both occasions when he went for the records , he made it so his team could only draw and missed out on the win.
Selfish , also not that good a fielder.
