James Ackerman (QRL player)

A CORONER has slapped the Brisbane Broncos over their handling of a contracted player after he caused the death of an opponent.

A CORONER has found the Brisbane Broncos should have done more to teach Francis Molo how to avoid shoulder charging opponents after causing the death of James Ackerman in a 2015 Queensland Cup match.
So, this judge is now a football expert?
Very harsh to be so judgemental after what was unintentional.
Did a coroner also blame NSW Cricket for not warning Abbot about bowling bouncers, and SA Cricket for not giving Philip Hughes more coaching in avoiding them?

Difference is that the bouncer is not illegal, the shoulder charge is and Molo was warned a few times before.

After watching a sports report last night , seems that Molo still attempted a couple of shoulder charges when he re commenced playing with the Broncos and whether it was intentional or not . This seemed to be the main reason for that particular conclusion by the judge in that the Broncos were expected to rectify this then prohibited tackling method . Just a tragic outcome of a tackle gone wrong and not helped with the fact that James Ackerman was running the ball back from a kick off and with the extra momentum and impact . Looks like James Ackerman "s family is still doing it tough so i am sure that every one "s thoughts are still with them and hopefully that they are still receiving all of the expected and necessary support . Again just a tragic and sad case of a tackle gone wrong in what is still and can be a very tough and demanding sport .
