So, Scott gets two weeks for deliberately injuring Walker, who cops a six-game penalty.
How is that fair?
Correct me if I'm wrong but when Alex McKinnen was so sadly injured the judiciary took the seriousness of the injury into account and gave the tackler - who didn't get sent off - nine or so weeks suspension.
Why the double standard?

Scott actually got off an 80 minute game for being sent 52 minutes into this game 😡

300 points less time served 200 points 😕

Hopefully Manly learn to head the discipline warnings from Baz , as the Refs will always err on the opponents' side :swear:

I think never walking again & having a black eye are not in the same bracket mate.

Curtis Scott is a deadset wangker.. in his written statement he doesn't mention the damage he's caused to DWalker's eye.

“While it doesn't change what happened last night I would like to deeply apologise to my team, Manly and NRL fans for my actions."

I'm not comparing the injuries, just the inconsistency of the judiciary.
1. The Alex McKinnon tackle did not warrant a send off; it was a tackle that ended tragically.
2. The Walker injury was deliberate, and the culprit sent off.
3. Because of the seriousness of the McKinnon injury the suspension was greatly increased
4. It seems the seriousness of the Walker injury will not be taken into consideration when Scott is suspended

The NRL match review committee on Sunday charged Scott with a grade-three striking charge for hitting Walker. He will miss two matches if he submits an early guilty plea but could miss three games if he unsuccessfully challenges the charge at the judiciary.

Scott has received a 28-point discount (one point for each minute he was sent off), otherwise he would have been facing a maximum of four games on the sidelines.

Manly hooker Apisai Koroisau was handed a grade-one striking charge which would result in a one-match ban with an early guilty plea or a maximum of two games.

Walker was not charged for his part in the brawl.

OK we play Greenburgers NRL rules . Next time we play the Storm we select a hard punching forward with a clean judiciary record off the bench to come on and punch the living day lights out of Slater .

I’m sure on the return match both sides will be given a warning about what happened last time.

Already told the Mrs i’m at Brookvale on the 14th July for that match. That’s 7 weeks (our bye is on the 6th week) from now and watch Walker put Scott through school on what a Centre is. He will be fired up!!

Not a black eye, a fractured eye socket. And it's the principle - you can't pick and choose when to take the severity of the injury into account, it's either taken into account always, or never. Just another subjective, on the run ruling from amateur hour NRL.
Its a black eye compared to McKinnon being in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. **** comparison which should never have been made.

That punch of Scott's was the equivalent of a "king hit or a "coward's punch" because Dylan had absolutely no idea he'd punch him with NRL rules as they currently stand. Dead set gutless act from the Storm centre. I too suspect a "deal" was done with NRL hierarchy late last night. Only real losers in all this ... Sea Eagles. But what's new? We know the way things roll these day with NRL.

While Scott's suspension seems light, so to is Apis by the same logic.

It sucks to lose walker for so long, but I think we just move on from that ugly arse win and focus on a game we have in 5 days ( and work out a way we don't have to play Lewis brown at hooker)

I'm still very worried about our shape in attack, doing things at speed, and our last tackle plays. The raiders will murder us if we don't play a bit faster and smarter.
