Kelepi Tanginoa took out slot number 599.

So now we look towards Round 1 2018 to cap player number 600 in the mighty Maroon and White.

May come down to an alphabetical battle between Croker and Thompson unless we sign Aaron Aardvark in the off season to play 6. My money is on Thompson seeing as Hastings or Hodko may get the halves spot.

For some perspective, lol@Parra started in 1947 with us and they are already up to 790.

Thanks for reminding us about this, I imagine Thompson would get the mantle as I have a feeling Hastings will get the first chop at 5/8.

But be funny as all buggery if Carney was signed, Thompson copped a Hammie and couldn’t play week 1 and Bubbler Boy was 600!

And what a stat , 790 for the Slimes v 600 for us over the same period.

We'll see. Their convention over the last few years has been numbering in what order they appear on the field. If more than one is in stating 13 then it goes alphabetically. Jetski started from bench so he "debuted" after Wright. Perret, Uate and Siro all debuted in Round 1 last year, yet Perrett has the higher number of the three I'm pretty sure. Let's see what number Jetski has on his warm up shirt next Sunday

I can't see this clearly, but the warmup has the numbers on it.

Remember that Jono was not even in the 21 listed

Second-rower Jack Gosiewski will become the 602nd first grade player to represent the Sea Eagles when he makes his Club debut today.

I'd say that "late mail" wasn't quite late enough to capture Parker pulling out (seeing as he i still named in that team list) so at that point Wright wouldn't have been on the radar for a debut. Hence they just assumed one debutant in Jetski and player #602 allocated. Anyway it's no biggie - it's just a number

Just had a look and you are right Perrett is 591 so they do number them in alphabetical order on game of debut now. So as per your earlier post I assume Jetski 602 and Wright 603 as you pointed out.

That's confusing because a couple of years back they were doing it by order of appearance in a game. If you look at Round 1 2016 it goes like this for new player numbers

574 Lewis BROWN 2016 (R1)

575 Nathan GREEN 2016 (R1)

576 Apisai KOROISAU 2016 (R1)

577 Nate MYLES 2016 (R1)

578 Martin TAUPAU 2016 (R1)

579 Dylan WALKER 2016 (R1)

580 Matt PARCELL 2016 (R1)

581 Siosaia VAVE 2016 (R1)

Parcell and Vave were off the bench so they were given the last two numbers in order.

Same in 2015 Luke Burgess debuted in same game as Mateo and Mason yet he comes after them in player number because he came off bench.

Wish they would just keep it to one system instead of dicking around

Welcome to the NRL, Taniela Paseka. #604

@MartyKapow presents 20-year-old prop Taniela with his NRL jersey for today's clash against former club @WestsTigers.

Moses Suli will become player number 605 when he makes his debut against Roosters on Sunday. He is the 25th player we have used this year so far.

Good luck to the kid, he's had a few well reported issues so hopefully he has found a happier place here at Manly and he is enjoying his footy. Not sure who they have lined up to present his jersey, would have been kinda cool if Bozo was still around, nice connection with Manly / Roosters / Jersey 3.

Seems not even the club know what is going on with the player numbers, see photo below of Jetski at training - Player 603. Wish they would make up their mind

Tom Wright 606

bloomin' eck, I was looking for this thread. Glad you handed it in to lost and found.

Seems to be a last minute thing, no interviews or debut announcements nor pics of legends presenting the jersey....no ice cream

and we welcomed back player # 533 Trent Hodkinson.

Hodko is the 28th player we have used this season. Only Funa left to use from 30 man squad now. He may get a shot soon if Tommy gets an origin spot and The Phantom is still out. But with Horhay and Parker set to return soon they may beat him to the punch

And still Illawarra has the same 13. Amazing. Keeping your best players fit is how you win a premiership.
