Importance of your BEST player...

The SOO certainly showed just how big an out your best player can be and this is a level full of star players.
Once Tedesco went down they seemed to struggle in across the board, not just his positional play, ability to make a bust anywhere - anytime, pushing up all day in the middle, but the belief he gives lifts the entire team and coaching staff.
Probably fair to say if Cam Smith was out in the GF, Storm are not Premiers.
Not to say Tom T is at those lofty heights, though at his best imo is capable of anything....his loss to Manly has huge impacts in so many ways and without him the confidence across the entire side dwindled every week without him.
Not an excuse, but does this give a clear indication of just how big a loss it is with your star player out ??

Yep, just got to look at our win/loss when Snake was out.

Munster missing game 2 and Qld were poo too.

It also shows how hard it is to win with musical chairs mid game in the backline - something we were forced to deal with for an astonishing run through the season.
