I wonder how many wins are required this season to make the semi's.
2018 6th,7th & 8th all had 15 wins
2017 8th has 13 wins
2016 12 wins & a draw
2015 12 wins.

The losses to Penrith and Gold Coast recently will hurt, I still expect Manly to get there. Must be able to win the next couple against St George & Gold Coast and beat Parramatta both times, Warriors and Tigers to be in the hunt.

Last year was a little different but 28 Points normally gets you there.

Pardon my ignorance....

You say last year 6th, 7th and 8th had 15 wins? That surprised me!

So they had 34 points? (4 points for the byes, and 30 from the 15 wins?)

It really comes down to lots of upsets, will change the required Wins needed.
Manly done the good work when missing some big troops, snaring Wins that were not expected....well set up to contest the Final series in 2019.

We need to start winning the games against the teams below us on the table. Seems to me they are the games we are losing.
Top 8 sides we are winning or doing well against even if we lose.
We should have 4-6 more points at the moment.

Only one bye worth points now that Origin 2 is a weekend off for each team

Last year was a different comp with a clear gap between the top 8 and bottom 8 that developed extremely early

Thanks all,

Clearly I gave up looking at the ladder last year thanks to trent!

That's a VERY close end to a season for the final places

We need a few big wins along the way. If we can put a couple of teams away by 30 points we will be right in contention for a top 4 berth.

If we lose a couple or even only win by a few points it could have us just missing out on the 8.
