Dogs fans are talking about getting revenge for their semi loss to us last year. Massive difference to the 95 GF.

Yes you could say that the Dogs might have been the better side in that game last year along with finishing higher on the table than us with better form leading into the match, but we did not win that game due to any questionable decisions on the day.

Much different story back in 1995. Where do we start with the questionable decisions on that day.

We take it to the dogs in the middle I have no doubt we take care of business in this one. Got a feeling it might be similar to the regular round game last year. Dogs look tired at the moment and really should not have beat St. George. They have also only won two games this year against top 8 sides (Raiders and Sharks). There is a lot of talk around Galvin as well and sorry one try assist at the end of a pretty ordinary game has fooled nobody. They are still under pressure with his inclusion for mine.

Just said something very similar over in the pre game, i think the key is the middle and I agree they are starting to show signs of fatigue from the style of footy they play, makes it a long season, very hard to play a semi final type footy for 27 rounds. Just got wonder if last weekend might of taken a bit out of us as well. Winning always helps, so here’s hoping, I’m already looking forward to the game.

What a team 1995-96-97, some of the all-time great of the Mighty Eagles. Toughest ever to play the game, half of my fav to put on the jersey for our team. Hill, Hoppa, Lyons, Toovs, Cement, Hasler, Spud, Iron, Cunningham and the prototype of the 2025 season we had them in 95. Gartner, Moore, Menzies, Kosef
