Hazems Ex Unloads!

When the NRL dumped Hazim, it acted as a follower. Following is the easy route. The crowd prejudges. The media and marketers closely watch and follow the crowd, so they will tend to quickly jump on - and amplify - any bandwagon trends. It is safe - in the short term - to lack courage.

For the NRL to be a leader, it would need to be willing to take some hits. In the short term, hits come at a cost. Potential scandals have a tendency to get worse before they get better. It would take some courage to say you are not going to prejudge knowing that you will be prejudged for doing that.

League is a game built on tribal loyalties. To be loyal, you need to be courageous, to be willing to take a hit, to not take the easy route.
