Hastings exile and salary cap penalty puts Manly on borderline

Well with lussick gone and hastings inevitably put the door, we really should be signing a depth half, or if by chance a half to play at six in front of croker.

Carney on 100k ain't looking like a bad decision... to bad that wont happpen

Why couldn't we just have said "look Jackson, everyone in the club thinks you're a d^%$ead, but given our current position, we need you here 'til the end of the year. How 'bout it big fella?" and see if that worked. If that got over the line, we could have then asked for him to improve his haircut !

I'd imagine they would have tried that and given him plenty of warnings.

I gather that’s what Barrett put to him on February 2nd, at the meeting spoken about in this morning’s press conference.

what's the bet myles was the player that started this whole salary cap fiasco when his TPA didn't come through
  • he thinks the TPA wasn't arranged at arms length
  • says he's not playing til TPA comes through
  • manly says f-off then
  • he secures a bargain basement deal with melbourne just to get out
  • tells NRL that manly are cheating cap via TPAs
as a result of however his TPA was set up, manly's determined to be in breach of contract by not supplying TPA (since TPA not at arms length)

so really given NRL have found us to be in breach it's not surprising we're still paying for the forehead's holiday and having it included in the cap

also how anyone expected that forehead to fit in any cap is beyond me

With the club short of players it would have been a great opportunity for Hastings to shine. Poor fella. Hope he pisses off quickly and gets well soon.

The bloke has no gratitude, he was made into a blow-up doll and everything, yet still behaves this way.
