Has the board asked Rothfield for a retraction?

Rothfield has stated in his blog today that the board didn't want to re-sign hasler in June this year.

Clearly this couldn't possibly be true so have they asked rothfield to retract his statement?

"This is obviously an emotional issue for Manly supporters. You have to remember Des wanted to stay. He wanted to extend his contract in June. The board didn’t want him. That’s a fact. Des has a family to look aftyer like all of us. Canterbury wanted the best coach ion the business so they signed Des. Simple as that. Why didn’t the Manly directors sign Des midway through the season? You should be directing your anger in their direction".

From what I've heard that's true. Des asked twice I think mid-season and they said nah nah we'll do it later. Now look what happened.

Agreed. I also think people are aiming their bullets in the wrong direction when they blame the media. They are getting their info from somewhere, regardless of how based in fact it is, unfortunately that's the world we live in.
