Always difficult comparing players from different eras. The roles and styles of play are so different now. But Wombat was far ahead the best fullback of his time, so he gets my vote.

Its always difficult comparing players from different eras. Was Wombat better than Snake? Is Snake better than Wombat? They are easily they are the top 2 fullbacks we've ever had, and we've had good ones from Ron Willey to Bob Batty, Dale Shearer and Matthew Ridge.

Both had/have their strengths and both had/have their weaknesses. If you could somehow combine the two of them into one fullback.......damn lol. Snake's pace and skill, Wombat's size and strength.......
