Happiest players in a Long time

Individually and as a team, Manly seem so relaxed, confident and harmonious
During interviews, players seem to be buying into Des and almost to a man are complimenting the team and associating their own performances with playing a certain role/assignment - "for the team"
During every game the players are running from everywhere to celebrate tries or great defence and the emotion from a recent Foz spray after an opposition try was a thing of beauty
During the early losing games, leaders like Jake would talk to his troops in an identical situation and 7 - 8 players were turning backs disinterested....what a shift in Attitude.
Regardless of the 2021 outcome, this will be looked back upon as the true changing period where the success followed....that Seaeagles emblem once again means something and is worn with pride.

Agreed. I just hope the team can get DCE back and give him a cuddle and a bit of love. State of Origin seems to have been an emotional journey for him and the extra criticism can't help. Hopefully his club form doesn't suffer as a result.
The good thing is he actually has some support on the field at club level, it’s not all on him. Foran, Schu, Turbo, Walker all take the heat off him and let him do his thing.

I totally agree with this observation. I expect that a contributing factor is that the wider playing group now feel connected and important. You can't play everybody but the wider the talent and experience pool the stronger the squad.

Winners are grinners, I would expect them to be happy, it feeds off itself a happy playing group more likely winning, the more winning the happier the players.

Using this philosophy we should be winning by triple digits by finals time

When it comes to DCE, how COULD he perform behind a team that man for man got out played? How did Cameron Munster fare? I don't even know or remember who their fullback or hooker was (QLD).

Those wankers on NRL360 are clueless. Hooper and Sampson are leading the diatribe , **** them. Anti-Manly bogan's. Is Hooper talking over women again? Tooves literally tore him a new arsehole yesterday for trying on him. Hooper went quiet QUICKSMART...

They reckon they could have done a bnetter job in the 7 jersey? Also, who's better? Tell me one queensland half that's better in a 7 jersey?

This is it exactly, Ryan. No Queensland half - past, present or future - would have been able to do anything with that team, particularly that pack. If Cooper Cronk could have polished that turd of a performance, then he's a much better player than I remember him being.

Cherry is on a hiding to nothing in that team. His best response to the criticism would be to win a late-career premiership with Manly.

If Feldt could catch DCE would have had 2 try assists and if Gagai's arm didn't scrape the dead ball line DCE would have also had a try to his name and would have got QLD back in the game all by himself. He was also only a metre away from a 40/20. He was only a matter of inches away from having a great game.

No doubt about it, DCE was their best..........by a long neck.......

"The Manly Sea Eagles have announced new deals for forward Sean Keppie, centre Brad Parker and winger Reuben Garrick.
Keppie has extended his contract through to the end of the 2024 season while Parker and Garrick have re-signed through to 2023."
