Watched the 2008 GF yesterday and brought tears to my eyes near the end when the crowd ( of which I was one) were chanting Maaaaaaaanlyyyyyyyyy Maaaaaaaaanlyyyyyyyy. Then low and behold last night on foxsports was a replay of the 1972 GF and in the second half when we had it won you could hear it again. Maaaaaaaanlyyyyyyy Maaaaaaaaaaanlyyyyyyy. 36 years apart and we still have that chant amazing stuff.

Not as many Manly fans at the 72 GF though, I reckon well over 60,000 of us there that night

I IQ'd the '72 GF and just finished watching it then. I've never seen that game before. We dominated them and we had a pretty good side, it was a good game of footy. It was funny to see the slow pace of the play the ball and the scrums being contested though.

Main game is kicking off at 5.15 pm. I am just about to head off and will be there in 20 mins. No idea who to support as I detest both teams, though I will be with Dragon supporters so the Choke noises will start early. Went to the Rugby GF yesterday. A few of the Uni outside backs would go well in League but was generally a disappointing affair. Berrick Barnes is a gun but we all knew that, as the Broncos were very disappointed when he defected to Rugby.
