League legend fuming over casino rejection

JUPITERS Hotel and Casino has admitted it may have embarrassed rugby league legend Laurie Daley but offered no apology after he was refused entry for being too drunk – even though he was stone-cold sober.
The former Canberra Raider turned Fox Sports commentator is reportedly fuming at the incident.
Daley, who was staying at the hotel, reportedly arrived at 11.30pm after Saturday's Cowboys v Melbourne Storm game, which he called alongside fellow Fox Sports commentators Warren Smith and Scott Sattler.
It's understood Smith and Sattler were allowed entry but security guards stopped Daley, telling the former NSW and Australia representative he had had enough.
A witness reportedly said Daley told the bouncers he hadn't had a drink yet as he had just finished work.
The witness said Daley offered to undertake a breath test but the security guards stood their ground, so he called for the manager.
The manager stood by the security guards, allegedly telling Daley he could enter the casino but was to only drink water.
The witness said Daley took offence and told the manager and security guards to shove it.
A Jupiters spokesman yesterday said the incident was being investigated.
"We regret any embarrassment caused to Mr Daley, however we take our obligations regarding the responsible service of alcohol very seriously."
Daley could not be reached for comment yesterday but earlier said he had made an official complaint as the incident was `deeply embarrassing'

Its a dickhead manager who stands by his staff no matter what.
The customer isnt always right, the staff arent always right, the person who is right is right and the goons on the front door should go do thier RSA again if they cant figure out if a person thats perfectly sober is drunk or not.

The goons should know better, the manager should definitely know better considering he is supposed to be the one with the smarts than to just judge a persons intoxication on 1 factor.
