We got smashed but had 2 NSW Cup debuts, No Burton,Fox or Xerri. The Sea Eagles middle is very strong when they are on but Haumole & Paseka left a lot to be desired on Sunday. I’m not overly confident but will all come down to Turbo in my view if they do play him I think he will be a big target

So will
Kiraz he has a busted shoulder as well.
Yes he looked very banged up likely to be high risk too

Such a good player.

Even Turbo at 50% is huge. And I’m not even considering his usual highlight reel stuff. We need him at the back counting numbers and setting the line. We were badly exposed by the sharks in that area. We have enough dangerous players to use Turno as a decoy. Think Cronk in the GF but different style. Noting he won’t hide from the tough stuff.

Debutants aside, Burton and Xerri won’t stop the issues in the middle that were exposed by us and Cows. In fact what we pulled into the middle only exposed Xerris lack of speed defensively in that second half.

Look I’m confident we will win if we come switched on, but that is 50/50.

I also think Ciraldo may need to inject a shift in game plan to counter the dominance in the middle. Not sure what that will be yet.

Bookies have this one neck n neck. Prob is a coin toss.

You share the same view as me, after last weekend I’m not confident on anything. I’m expecting Canterbury to turn up this time, although last game against Manly was not a blow out. Good luck, may the best team in one thing I’m confident on is neither team making it very far after this match

I think Dogs goal all year was to make finals. As soon as they achieved that goal they packed up.

Manly - 66
Dogs - 6

I actually think both sides can get past Easts in week 2 with their injuries. Assuming Penrith get them.

As a Manly supporter I would feel a lot better about this if we were fielding a definitely fit team. Turbo playing is just against everything that I read about grade 3 AC injuries. I fear it may prove a bad choice. We've got the team to beat the Bulldogs without him in my opinion, especially as we are clearly better experienced and stronger in the props and halves. Bulldogs should try really hard to knock him out of the game, mad if they do not. I think Manly wins this, 1 - 12, but I think we're winning dumb and desperate.

no chance without Saab. How many games have we seen this Saab create space by dashing down the sideline, draw the fullback to pass inside to turbo or dce. manly is very inconsistent and wont win.

Turbo to play a big role in the win and silence the critics, both Dce and turbo will know it’s gotta be close to now or never for a decent run at Gf birth.

I think Bulldogs win for a few reasons; they were missing Crichton and we had a fit Turbo last time.
We did lead comfortably in the second half, but the game turned on DCEs 40/20.
Always hard to beat the same team in a rematch given they only played a fortnight ago.
Can’t predict the score.
P.S. we have a poor finals record against them also

With all due respect, I’m not sure finals records matter to much with this one. The Bulldogs that beat Manly in 2014 and made it to two grand finals in 2 years is worlds apart from the current lineup, same as Manly they are no where near as good as that lineup of the Eagles
I’m not going into this game with any expectations

I received a crystal ball for father’s day and haven't really had a chance to use it so what better time than now to give it a crack.

I tried following the instructions as best I could, but they were quite difficult to understand - very similar to some flat pack instructions I've seen with lots of broken English.

Anyway, after some gentle rubbing and saying the prescribed chant, it came back with some interesting but not surprising predictions.

Apparently, the game will be over by halftime. Dogs dominate – with assistance.

Turbo will play like a limp biscuit too afraid to hit the line with any vigour and not willing to commit defensively. Hard to see but he may not be there long after halftime.

We will have two in the bin at varying times and one of these will be highly controversial.

We will have two disallowed tries due to obstruction. They will both be correct calls as our team are as dumb as bat s%$& and forget to run through the line as per usual.

Dogs will score at will via our inept edges.

Dogs will score right on halftime.

Garrick will have a shocker with the boot.

DCE will be DCE... rudderless, crab...chook, kick on 2nd/3rd/4th when no one expects it etc. etc. etc.

Croker will get pulled up for at least 2 forward passes and one drop ball from dummy half.

Croker run meters will be 6.

Croker will try a 40/20 and kick it out on the full. Dogs get the ball in good position and score from that next set.

We will mount a mini comeback in the second half, but the refs will get word from above that it simply can't be allowed so we will then cop the mandatory 3 penalties and 4 six agains in a row against us which should put the kybosh on any possible comeback.

Game over

Halftime dogs 18 manly 4

Final score Dogs 32 Manly 16

Seibs will be proud and let us all know how much better the dogs were.

Geez I hope I haven't set this up right and it turns out differently.
