Cynicism aside, you have to applaud the club for making hay while the sun shines and cashing in on GF week. We were looking at breaking even "unless we made the GF". A few hundred thousand dollars of profit is a very good thing to have against a rainy day (or season).

Qualifying for the GF also puts a lot more pressure on the governments to come up with the dollars for the Brookvale Oval renovation.

Why is Igor retiring? No. Surley they're not going to have that hulking monstrosity of a 'thing' that scares little kids wandering around. And why not put Igor in a museum or in a glass case at the footie club.. Selling of the silverware next.
