Getting the basics right

I understand that we have an enormous amount of injuries and it shows by our disjointed efforts out there, however why do we get the basics so wrong? Dropped ball, not sliding in defence, falling off tackles, not being aggressive off our line, looking and playing like an ageing club, looking overweight and slow? These are all things that is blatant in our game. The players are answerable for the way they play, who is responsible for their fitness or lack of,lack of attacking or defense? Other teams have injuries as well yet they seem to get the basics right. Shot if I know
