I have just received the transcript of George Rose's interview with Des Hasler, when Rose joined the Club prior to the 2006 season:

Mr. Cleal: Ah, Mr. Hasler, sir. There's someone here I'd like you to meet. This is Mr. Rose. He's one of the applicants for the front rower bench position.

Mr. Hasler: Nice to meet you George.

George: Well, I wish I could say the same, but I must say, with all due respect, I find it very hard to see the logic behind some of the moves you have made with this fine organisation. In the past twenty months you have caused myself, and the Manly-Warringah district, a good deal of distress, as we have watched you take our beloved Sea Eagles and reduced them to a laughing stock, all for the glorification of your massive ego! And I promise you, if you ever leave this fine organisation for a rival Sydney club, I will bury your reputation the first time our respective teams meet!

Mr. Hasler (laughing at the absurd suggestion that he, Mr. Hasler, would ever go elsewhere): Hire this man!
