Hmmm. I know for a fact that he is only on $250k and is probably worth double that. Didn’t someone post a rumor about Best coming to us? Perhaps there maybe a swap deal on offer. Would hate to see Rueben go as he is a quality bloke and player however we do have some depth at wing and weekes/ koula can cover Tom’s injuries.

I'd rather Garrick over Best.

Garrick's a solid back up fullback & can score a try playing on the wing & also kick goals.

He can also slot in at centre if need be.

What can Best do?

No-one would take Best over Sandwich. However, I'd be happy if Manly took a punt on Best. He was a future 'superstar' in 2020 but has been poor in the past two seasons. I believe it is because he has done too much weight training and is now too bulky to be in the backline. His natural progression would be into the second row, then eventually in the front row. I think he would be a success in the forward pack.

Where woukd we rate a fully fit Garrick as a fullback?

If he is on say $250k would he rate under say Tom, Teddy, Papa, Ponga, Edwards, Hynes, Gutho and perhaps over the rest? And therefore way underpaid??

Wouldn 't be surprised if Garrick has not been upgraded all ready for next season , especially taking into account his goal kicking , Apparently quite a few other players have , hence a bit quite on the recruiting side . Had a quite 2 nd season at Manly but did rep in season one , naturally has done well last season and 22 but clearly does not have a last line of defence as one of his better characteristics . Just upgraded Saab albeit as a specialist winger , sure that the club would be keen also with Garrick , probably would have a longer and less injury affected career as a winger and with Tom at the back , a heap of scoring opportunities . Maybe inevitable he is attracting some interest from other clubs , sure that Manly will do their best to retain him and that is all that they can do .

Just my opinion, Garrick would make a great Australian winger outside of Mitchell, Tedesco, Cleary and others.

Not sure mate, I forgot about that tbh. If he's fit though, surely he's playing for NSW and Australia.

I'm not being biased , he's better than Tupou and offers more imo.

He played for the pms 13 a couple years back though I’d imagine if he was in contention he would’ve been there this year. Could also be due to injury

If Manly had finished higher on the ladder and he was injury free right now, then yes, he would be.
