Paper today reporting fight is under a cloud because Ashay wants to change from the agreed 3 minute rounds to 4 X 2 minute rounds .. can't shake the thought that Josh's confidence has him in line for a wake up call ...

What an ugly exchange between Gallen and Aloia. Gallen telling him he is a crap player etc, it is publicity Manly doesn't need. The sooner this is over the better.

Gallen is a low character, he spruiks a "men's health" site which is a thinly veiled front for viagra and miracle baldness cure sales - then he calls Josh a "flop" which is an insult evocative of sexual disfunction.

I reckon it’s all show. This is how Gallen has prompted every one of his fights, media stoush’s so everyone gets involved and talking about it it’s very smart business as he will sell loads of PPV
Exactly. I'm sure most promoters tell the boxer it is mandatory to invent some big dispute with the opponent, and then say mean things about them.
Gallen is sort of moving into the pro ranks these days so I actually expected a little more, thought it was a missed opportunity to threaten to eat Aloiai's children.
Of course after the match they will cuddle and profess their love for each other (unless they think there is a possibility of a rematch, in which case 'Sorry man i don't respect you'. Quite funny theatre, very similar to wrestling.

A boxer should flip it and profess love for their opponent, undying fixated love, and admiration. Compliment their physique, voice, hair, personality, taste in music. Express a wish to spend time getting to know them out of the ring, you know, hang out and stuff. Road trips, train together.

That would be hilarious and original, and a psych out.

Melbourne Storm forward Nelson Asofa-Solomona could become the first NRL player to be stood down for refusing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

Asofa-Solomona told the Storm he does not want to be vaccinated despite Victorian health orders prohibiting professional athletes from entering the team’s facility if they are not jabbed.

The Storm have spoken to the NRL and are exploring their legal options. The club does not want to be disadvantaged by sacking Asofa-Solomona if he can’t fulfil his contractual obligations, knowing he will likely pick up a contract at a rival club. The Kiwi international isn’t due back to training until early December.

The AFL does not have the same dilemma with its players because it has mandated the vaccine across the code.

ARL Commission chairman Peter V’landys, however, is a staunch believer in allowing players to make up their own minds and refuses to make the jab compulsory in the NRL.

The Storm confirmed it had one player who was unvaccinated but would not identify him when contacted by the Herald on Thursday.

Big Nelson will either Vax for Cash ( which is a strong strong possibility for players) or will end up in NSW at a club where he can still play 75% of games at a reduced contract. Will be interesting to see the outcome on this.

Again....How does he expect to play away games ?

No airline is going to let anyone who's not vaccinated on a plane for a long long time.

So he misses half the games meaning he takes a 50% pay cut. Nek minute. Double vaxxed.
Feathered friend @simon64

This my body my choice mentality comes with consequences as you have stated

It is our body and we have a right to do what ever we want to it but we have no right no risk every other body of infection and possible death

To all the Dr Googles
No one is more qualified than the world health organisation

Congratulation to every responsible soul that chose the freedom vaccine over the fear of conspiracies

It won’t work. He won’t be able to be on the field unless vaccinated. You watch, they won’t be able to do much. Theatres in Sydney have said they won’t admit unvaccinated even after 1 December. This is because they feel people won’t attend if there is a possibility unvaxed will be there. Stadia will likely follow.
