After an ordinary start we're we could of been 3 and 3 , i think we can still surprise and finish top 4 . My previous assessment was 4 to 8 and i still believe injuries aside and players coming back, there are no excuses and we will fly under the radar. Well said champion. I have this debate with lots on here. I feel our roster is up there with the best in the league. That's where my frustration stems from (and I respect the opinion of those that don't).

The one thing we need, is culture. What I mean by culture:
X Everyone at the club needs to pull in the same direction (everyone)
X Energy, commitment, effort, passion
X Pride in the jersey
X Need to grow an extra leg at Brooky. Make teams hate to play there
X No off field bull****
X Players all need career advice for post football - something to do in their spare time
X Players need Financial Planning advice - make the most of your money
X Trent Barrett seems to be improving. If we get on the right track - extend the guy.
X Need to get all the assistant coaches right - not sure if we do at the moment
X We need a proper strength & conditioning coach - one that improves us
X We need to become FAR more modern media / social media wise. We need a Manly guy doing that - Dan?
X We seem to have a CEO & Owners now that back each other. I like Cleary - I like him a LOT. He won't be bullied
X Staffing needs to be corrected. I know more about this than letting on - trust me. And it presently is. Also, don't believe everything you read in the papers - trust me on that !

Get all that right, the culture is back. We've always had an awesome team, with a ****house front office. We've never had an awesome team, and an awesome front office. Look our NRL world if we achieve Zyon.

I think Barrett + Cleary + Penn is the start of that. Bring it on.

I agree with you mate, on paper we have a very good football team and we just have to put it together. I think that win on the weekend will add massive confidence and its all up to the players now to raise the bar .Good points Ryan.

Exactly. It means we will never be at full strength this year.
On the other hand - it is an opportunity to instill a team culture where they never worry about who is out, the team simply has to play tough and play to win every week.

Time to move on fluffy,the old crew were worn out from a brilliant career,they are just no good and we should have rebuilt the team 2 seasons ago.
Out with the old in with the new,this crew have the ability to make the team great again,just have faith

The really sad thing, and its something that's hard to take considering how the NRL let Choc get forced into retirement to help doesn't-matta's salary cap, is that if both Snake and Skivy were officially retired and off the books its more than likely that we would have a full 25 man squad that included both Jamie Buhrer and Matt Parcell as there wouldn't have been the need to offload them in order to remain under the cap.

Edit: By that I mean that with the extra $1.5 million we could have kept Ferris and Parcell while still signing Hastings and Sironen.

its easy to say move on but when you are penalized 2 players for the season it makes it very difficult. We are essentially further under the cap than Parra for the storm were ever over it when they were cheating.

If we did the parra approach and have an extra 2 players worth on the books then sure but basically we are boxing with 1 hand tied behind our back this year.

As pointed out the flow on effect is losing other players as well like Buhrer, Parcell who we have had to replace with Uate and Siro (who have the majority of the pay coming from the previous club for this year).
