Back In Aus at my mums for a holiday and decided to pull out all the **** in my chilhood wardrobe.

Found these (along with a lot of other sticky mags I wont allude on).

Turns out I still have every Rugby league week for 6 years across our dominant mid 90s. Player swap cards from 88 and so much Manly related material.

Brings back the memories....

After Eddie Wards effort I know why you shoved it in the back of the Wardrobe

95,96,97

Should all be winning years not just 96.

7th tackle winning try in 95 and that disgraceful game in 97 where there should have been a send off for head stomping and lost in one moment of shear luck ( some would say brilliance ).

But such is life.

Probably that blatant forward pass for Bulldogs Steve Price " s try just before half time did the most harm , then of course the 2 nd half 7 th tackle wrong call . Manly were a little below par for that G F but may still have had a shot at winning without those dud calls at vital times . Just a reflective thought on whether Manly in 97 would have been good enough to beat the Super league finalists Broncos or Sharks . i reckon that they could have beaten either . With a level playing situation , would have certainly got the better of the knights in 97 and again all things normal .

I was with Nathan Brown at Sharks Leagues after the game and he was still in shock and felt everything Manly touched that day turned to Gold...players throwing the ball over heads, between legs and hitting a support on the burst....good times

Yeah, I remember Brian Smith saying something like - "...if they buried a one cent coin they'd go back to dig it up it'd be a one dollar coin..."

To end of my days I will always put the 1995 Manly team up there among the club's best ever.

1. Matthew Ridge
2. Craig Hancock
3. Danny Moore
4. Terry Hill
5. John Hopoate
6. Cliff Lyons
7. Geoff Toovey (c)
8.David Gillespie
9. Des Hasler
10. Mark Carroll
11. Steve Menzies
12. Ian Roberts
13. Nik Kosef
14. Owen Cunningham
15. Daniel Gartner
16. Solomon Haumono
Jack Elsegood,

Love the pic of the great Tooves holding the trophy.
Such a Manly man.
Imagine that as a huge back tattoo.
(Lol me. I’ve got one the size of a 50 cent piece on my left man boob. I passed out halfway thru. The funny/strange thing that happened when I came too was a huge Finks biker was standing there and handed me a can of coke, and just leisurely says get some sugar into ya, it happens all the time.

Jack Elsegood,

Always believe the bench shows how strong a team is. That bench is awesome. Radar Ridge legend!
