Damb, the salary cap is hurting us this year. We seem to be letting go of players without signing any. For this reason i would love a GF win this year as it may be a few years before we are premiership contenders again.

and Whare can jump in for killer or Matai

It might be a case that theres not enough money for ben

The difference between signing Matai is the cost that comes with him, when Farrar is half the price and we can keep a junior coming through.

Easier way of putting it keeping Matai means releasing Farrar and another junior (say Lussick, Hoppa or Whare).

Simple maths says if you win a comp you have to release more than half that squade over the next 3 years. I said this ages ago that we would lose players over the next 2-3 years.

Well the Storm manage to keep their players but we know why....
