No Matagi. It's November and we need an NRL bench prop capable of playing week in week out. We may or may not have next to no cap space. So give us your wish list, or more likely, the name of your mates, butchers, cousin who used to play grade who happens to be between jobs. Talk about struggling for players. Far KEN Matagi.

- Jeff Lima
- Matthew White (Gold Coast connection with Cartwright)
- Sione Louisi (my pick)
- Eddie Pettibourne
- Martin Kennedy

Maybe we could trust in Willis Meehan to fill into that bench prop position or Addin and Myles. My 2017 props -

- Darcy Lussick
- Brenton Lawrence
- Nate Myles (Of course he's going to get picked considering the money he's on right now).
- Addin Fonua-Blake

Depth -

- Willis Meehan
We need to buy 1 or 2 more props for depth IMO.

We've got AFB, Lussick, Myles and Lawrence. I'd add Meehan into the side as well, also just as Eagle Eye mentioned, we need a little more quality depth there, second row backup is fine with Lane (he'd start regular season on the bench IMO), Lewis Brown, Winterstein, Jamil Hoppa, Billy Bainbridge and i suppose Brenton Lawrence could shift there if neccessary, also rumours Taufua may shift there from wing.

We paid Vave peanuts, he had a good year, so the Eels will pay him a reasonable contract.
We just need another couple on peanuts, to play well for a year, then go to the Eels for their money.

I teally hope I am wrong and don't want to add another cloud to the negativaty storm, but I have a bad feeling this Meehan idea is going to go pair shaped.

I am.all for rehabilitation and second chances, and really hope he kills it. Just have a funny feeling about this bloke.

We need another prop. Still holding out hope that Skivvy's payout is sorted and we pick up a Kane Evans.

I'm with you, I hope he slays it but I'll be very nervous if we're relying on him to do much going into 2017. We definitely need another prop.

Didn't we play Taupau and Lussick as starting props for most of the second half of the year? and with Lane on the books I cannot see both Taupau and him playing the same wide running backrower role.

We have 6 genuine props:
Lussick
AFB
Myles
Lawrence
J Turbo
Taupau

Sure we weaken the backrow if we move Jake but Hoppa jnr, Lane, Siro, could step up and then Meehan may well make the grade as an extra prop.

1 more couldn't hurt but we are not too bad off here.

Don't know what his fitness or defence are really like,but he looks like he could fill a bench spot if needed...yes against lesser opposition but has athleticism,speed,leg drive,can pass before or in the line,looks willing...

At the moment , this is the pack and bench that would likely start the season assuming the Sironen rumors are correct.

To me we don't have a genuine prospect for the number 17 jersey wether it be a front rower or second rower. And if we start the year having to use any of Meehan, Hopoate, Lane or Winterstein then it is going to be a very very long season.
