Favourite Game

Sorry for being a bit of a narcissist everyone, but I was reading about Trent Robinson's reaction last night, and it got me thinking about my favourite ever game of rugby league (the game we literally retired Chris Anderson !!) . Watch this game, and when they pan on him in the second half. Literally thought he was pulling a heart muscle ! :whew:

For years I wanted a copy of it, but could never find it, and I just did a random search on youtube, and someone cast the whole game ! YYYeesssssss......so for your viewing pleasure, here my friends is Manly's best ever game in my memory (not sure if they include Braith Anasta tearing up after the game ):

What's your favourite game guys?

Apart from 40 0. I remember as a young kid watching manly win 61 O against the dragons. What made it better is my dad's a dragon fan. He came home from work with a little bit of time left. Walked past and said 'whats the score". And kept walking.

Apart from the obvious ones, 2014 Round 25 vs Penrith at Brookvale.

We played terribly for most of it but somehow came back to win in the final minutes.

I think it was one of our only Sunday afternoon games that season, great weather and a massive crowd.

Love that story, mate :inlove:

Every game the Incomparable Immortal Bob Fulton graced the footy fields for the mighty Sea eagles is my favourite game .
As soon as he ran out on to the field the anticipation and the excitement of something special about to happen filled the air as he would explode out of no where and mesmerize the opposition with his unorthodox and unstoppable play and win yet another another game single single-handedly for our Manly Sea eagles .

I remember reading an article from an old RL magazine . It was a pregame interview with the opposition coach and he was asked what is your defensive game plan to stop Bob Fulton ?
He replied there is no game plan to stop a player like Bob . How do you stop a player like him ? You just have to go out there and hope for the best . And all teams that lived in hope soon died in desperation as the Incomparable Immortal put them out of their misery .

Forget watching this years finals .
Just Watch this spine tingling game and relive the Glory of our Legendary players that set the high standards of resilience and brilliance that have built the foundations of our legendary clubs greatness over and over and over again because it just gets better and better and better again .
Tom Bishop Cronulla captain " In the end Bob Fulton was the difference
The Legend of the Incomparable Immortal lives on !!!

2008 v Raiders in Canberra.
Cuthbo sent off for tackling too hard in the first half.
We won 31-16 or something like that.

I just knew we would win the comp after that victory.

Thank you for those great memories @Ryan . I was proudly there that day and it was such a great feeling watching our great players devour the roosters

I can't remember the year but I remember in the mid 2000's a sunny Sunday arvo game against the Rabbitohs. Brookie was packed and Brett Stewart scored an amazing long range try - I think we put 50 on em but could be wrong.

One match at Suncorp when I joined Mark's travelling supporters, after some food and refreshments at the Caxton, watching the Wolfman score in the corner after a great move from Jamie Lyon with just a couple of minutes left. Snatching a win and laughing at all the Donkeys' supporters crying in their beers. That was in the day when the Donkeys were good -- and we were better.

The Snake was notorious for scoring those long range tires and he scored plenty
The Snake poisoned them with his Killer speed

The rally towel match. I still have one up in the shed.
Brilliant stuff.

The moral of the story
When you have a dynamic centre like Jamie Lyon and there is only 2 minutes to go....
2 minutes feels like a eternity as it is filled with hope and anticipation from opportunist fast brilliant players .
In todays game if you dont have fast backs and the clock is winding down and you are attacking from inside your quarter line , Slow players are not going to get you out of jail .
Speed now more than ever is King and it King hits and kills the opposition and the faster you go the bigger the mess .

Games I’ve attended. Fav game 40-0, 2nd fav victory on the bell v Broncs with the wolf scoring.
