Maguire what a Dog act
We get all these accidental incidents every week, players cop stupid outs yet this mongrel cops ....what ....your ok , see ya next week.
This AFB touching a blokes head with his fingertips 30cm from the ground - cops 10 in the bin to give the opposition a shot to win....then what - another 2 weeks- then this dog ripping a blokes eye out is fair play....I do question the game....

And a fine for tripping .. another intentional low act which used to be an instant send off.

The whole thing is beyond belief. What do they do if the Storm player loses his sight? No suspension and a million dollar fine!

As you say Maxta so many accidental things occur in a brutal body contact sport and always attract suspensions yet incidents that require actual intent like gouging and tripping are fines!

Only a total shambles could employ a clown for a million a year who oversees this. They really are a joke this lot.

in the clip I watched , could be wrong but Smith telling his team mate to think about it before he reports it. What is to think about? Why should the player affected have to complain? It was clear as day, officials are there to make the decision. Was it foul play or not? If refs missed it the video refs saw what everyone else did.

As rare as it is ..... Buzz PissedTool made a very good observation today .... Rugby League would have to be the only sport in the world that doesn't think eye gouging is a suspendable offence ....

Please .... if anything can be considered bringing the game into disrepute ... it is these decisions by the NRL ... what is their usual stock outrage qoute ..... "what will the mothers think .. they will stop their children playing a game where eye gouging is just a misdemeaner " .....

You forgot... 'we must build a new stadium for parra'.

(but agreed)

Smith only counselled Munster to ‘think about it’ because the perpetrator was a mate. The fact that Smith would not want to take a stand against clear foul play is another black mark against his name.

Said no Journo, director nor employee of the nrl ever....

Must be nice to spend all that money on the bunker....just to conveniently not to be able to pick up an eye gouge.

Funny how the nrl love their carry over points but Mcguire and his serial eye fiddling...nope.... didn't get hd slo-mo conclusively proving from 8 angles that there was an eye gouge.

Can also rule tries against Manly with the same lack of clarity though.

So you're saying that Manly Players need to gouge all try scorers so the officials will not be able to see the vision of the try :p
