Euan Aitken

I am a fan of aitken but he is been rather lacklustre of late. Personally I'd prefer gutho over him at this point. And, if we were gonna land at least one big name out of Ramien, aitken, Thompson, staggs etc you think gutho would be more likely. Rather snag gutho then miss out on all of them

Never quite seen what the hype was around this bloke. Yeah he runs hard and is strong bulldozer type.....but he lacks pace and never passes the ball too.

Maybe there's a reason why many St George fans I know have been calling for his sacking for ages. Yes fans can be tough task masters on their own just look at this forum. But also the rumour was the dragons were trying to offload him in the offseason too. Saints Coaching staff seem to be looking elsewhere now too for starters.

Indeed. Aitken does always play well against us. Thinks that's why our fans rate him more than Dragons themselves. But Brian Kelly always saved his worst game of the year for Euan and made him look like Mal Meninga for a week.

Note that Brian Kelly is nearly leading the NRL for missed tackles again this year. From memory he is light years 'ahead' of any other centre in the comp for that stat.

Just on a slight tangent - I did read an old article which mentioned that Lachlan Croker spent a lot of time at centre in his young days.

Now edited - thnx

Walkers court outcome should play a big role on our next back line signing . Over just one week to go .

Aiken is a good solid centre, not blessed with outright pace but as strong as they come. Suppose it depends how Des sees the team shaping up in the future and what style of football he will want to play. I wouldn't be spending big on him though

I'm

I'm highly anticipating the outcome and am hoping he returns to the field in next few weeks

I hope so for the sake of his child and wife and our club who decided to stick loyal to him and I hope he learns from his past and returns the favour

Dylan was best NRL centre of the year before injury and before being played out of position

Dylan is a Dynamic centre that can steal a game from the oppositions grasp from any where on the field

Still young and his best years are ahead of him

Look when Dylan is on the field he's one of the worlds best centres no doubt. He's always been one of my fav players for Manly BUT the vast amount of time he's been unavailable through his own actions means for mine, he has to go. He just doesnt represent good value, is a reputational risk for our club and now we have a good coach we can get good consistent performance from blokes on way less coin. We need to invest the big bucks on great players with great character that can be relied on. Dylan isn't that guy.

I see your point and I think it does have merit and I also think in good time he can develop in that type of guy under Des .

At the end of the day It is up to his coach on how much faith he has in him
