Energy and Attitude

Lacking big time in these area's
Actually thought early on were running hard and getting some numbers into tackles
Unfortunately for Manly, Storm turned up hard as well, but there was a distinct difference
After a Storm player was tackled, they fight extra hard to play the ball, which is a big reason they earned the 6 again calls and penalties at vital times
The Manly players were running just as hard, but are very submissive after being tackled, not struggling to play the ball quickly to give the side momentum or put pressure on the ref to blow the whistle....in actual fact the Manly forwards often put more effort into looking at the ref for a penalty, than getting on with the game to win a penalty or simply create a springboard for the next play...
Storm basically gave Manly a footy lesson and not just in the skills department, but also the energy and attitude factor.
Nz Warriors are probably the most hard hit team in injuries and a whole heap of problems, but instead if excuses are rolling up the sleeves and shown you can still get great results with the right attitude, energy and of course Sheck...

To be frank, we got monstered by them, they dismissed us with ease and for me to see Garrick man handled into a goal line drop out epitomizes the energy and attitude of our team. We have good 10 minute periods and then go missing while our opponents pile on the points.

Lets not forget that while everyone from des to the players are getting whipped by us fans there is 1 person who seems to be avoiding the whipping and that is good old donny, and i dont understand why.
2 years back with us and we have had nothing but injuries and our fitness is no where near the level of the top4.
It is his responsibility to be innovative and effective and have our squad fit fast flexible and healthy.
I dont think he is bringing that to the table by the looks of our players.
In 2 seasons how many games have we fielded our full strength team?
Does anyone know off hand?

We never seem to have any linespeed do we. Also we are always very flat in attack..
Very true SJ...the line speed defensively is another key indicator of the energy and desire lacking ...it is shown in both attack and defence....not to carry on when the chips are down, but another part of Guocomole apart from looking more dangerous than most was a definite lift of intensity and this can carry over and lift your team mates, why he is not out there is a bit confusing

Are you suggesting ferris maybe wasnt injuring players at the pub ?

Im not comparing any trainers i am stating the obvious we havent fielded our full squad consistently for 2 seasons
That is my concern and donny needs to adapt to the new game quick for next season or it will be much the same again
We will never succeed or win the comp if we cant have our top 17 on field together for most of the season
