This is a little off-beat and not sure if these were only on Foxtel - but if you've spotted them I expect you'll know what I mean.
Beyond Debt - that poor woman, obviously a struggling (very struggling) would-be actress, standing still directly before the camera, in that outfit - why didn't anyone tell her?? And her diction, the way she says 'loans' and the eyebrow wrinkle when saying 'debt' - it is so cringe-worthy I actually often replay it just for the curiosity value.
I've seen ads in the past for the same company that were very slick and well-produced, so this awkward ad is obviously a deliberate tactic. Pretty funny if you catch it.
Another one from maybe last year or so was the Demand-a Commander office telephone system ad, featuring a young woman that I found strangely alluring with her crooked smile and cross-eyed sultry gaze. I had to replay that also when it came on. I don't know, some psychological failure on my part no doubt.
Wouldn't surprise if those two came from the same advertising guru.
If you haven't seen them, sorry, carry on!
