Heard whispers of this a while ago, now it seems a possability.
Dont mind Dugan & hope he stays at the Raider as I have officially hated the Dogs even more since the end of 2011.
The good part - even with Bretts close relationship with De$ , loads of this Stewart Bros to Dogs stuff was the media taking advantage of the fans in vulnerable times from the De$/Hoppa saga.
Though injury plagued theres no doubt Dugan is already 1 of the best fullbacks in the game. Actually like seeing the kid in action but if he becomes a Dog & catches fleas he will slip straight into my hated players basket.

They've only got a speedbump for a fullback at the moment.

I think he's gone too Moondog - big George stopped & ate him before scoring that try last year!! :p

Make no mistake about it the Dragons are making a huge play for the Stewart Bros.

They can deny it all they like, but their throwing the kitchen sink at them.

mates down here in the gong are very worried forking out the huge dollars to get brett! It seems that the gasnier debacle has rocked the club and they aren't keen to have a newie come in on huge dollars.

I remember Dugan putting his body on the line to stop a flying Dave Taylor. Big Dave was floating down the sideline and certain to score when Dugan took him front on and halted him. Of course, he nearly killed himself and was in obvious pain for a fair while after the tackle, but it's something Barba and a lot of other fullbacks could not have done. A bit like Snake stopping Lote. Dugan is a talent and would benefit from Des, but i really hope he stays a Raider.

Dugan's potential is unquestioned but he is a risky conveyance in a few areas.

I would be chasing Locke. He looks to me like being the next Billy Slater.

Locke and Billy a carbon copies of each other. Locke has a huge future ahead of him and any club would jump at him i'm sure.

That's impossible as its only Brett whose off contract and gift doesn't have an out clause. Brett wants to stay but it will come down to money it will probably be his last contract.

don't blame Brett at all as he lost alot when he had the incident. He deserves to get the big bucks!! Watching a recent youtube on him quietly reminds me of his talent!!

Looking at the highlights of last year on this website Brett scored some sensational tries, as good as of old despite fears his knees were gone...I expect his 2012 form will reveal even more confidence and achievement. He cannot be realistically substituted with any current NRL player in the Sea Eagles line up or as an import from any other club. I hope any future contract reflects his real worth and that he is able to play for us for many years to come..

Can you elaborate further as you seem to know more than the rest of us.

I spoke to Brett last night he seems pretty happy where he is but who knows. I didn't ask him directly if he was staying beyond this year as he probably wouldn't say either way.

This just goes to show the dumb dogs could have saved a lot of money in buying the players they are desperate for instead of wasting it on the salary of a coach. The coach cannot win a premiership without the talent on the field. :exclamation:

When the players win, the coach gets most of the credit?
Even Ricky Stuart has coached a GF winning team.

The Lebmore leagues club, err casino, was one of the states highest grossing pokie venues for the year....they could almost buy/afford whatever they want with regards to the off field ....hopefully, it is a sign that des hasboler realises the stewart bros are unattainable and has set his sights on dugan instead.
